Resource Services

At Parkview Christian Academy, our Resource program serves as a dedicated support system for students navigating academic challenges. We believe in a collaborative approach, working alongside parents and teachers to ensure every student has the environment and tools they need to succeed.

Who We Serve

Resource support is available for students who may benefit from curriculum or testing modifications.

Documented Needs

Students with a documented diagnosis, supported by long-term or temporary letters from a physician.

Existing Plans

Students with existing IEPs or 504 plans from public schools, where we assess which accommodations and modifications we can effectively support.

Academic Support

Students identified by teachers or parents as struggling academically who would benefit from a structured instructional plan.

Our Process

Our support is built on partnership. We work with families to develop Parkview's Instructional Plan (4IS) for the year, creating a plan tailored to each student's individual needs and long-term success.

1

Meet Together

The process begins with a parent/teacher round table meeting or a one-on-one consultation with the Resource teacher.

2

Assess Student Needs

We review the student's strengths, challenges, and any existing documentation to determine the support that will best help them succeed.

3

Create the 4IS Plan

Together, we develop Parkview's Instructional Plan (4IS), providing a clear, personalized roadmap for the school year.

Examples of Support

Support is personalized based on each student's individual needs and may include a variety of accommodations and academic resources.

Testing Accommodations

Students may take quizzes and tests in the Resource Room, providing a quieter environment with appropriate accommodations.

Preferential Seating

Classroom seating arrangements are thoughtfully selected to help students stay focused, engaged, and successful.

Daily Resource Study Hall

Upper Campus students have access to daily Resource study halls where they can receive additional academic support and assistance with schoolwork.
